Leonard is currently a Partner at Bamboo Sea, focusing on advising fintech and technology start-ups. He is spearheading the initiative to provide advisory for the setup and maintenance of single family offices. Leonard is also in charge of legal and compliance for Bamboo Sea. Currently, he is the Venture Partner at Bamboo Sea Ventures, the angel and venture arm of Bamboo Sea, seeking to partner and to assist tech startups on their journey.

 

Prior to this, he spent most of his career in corporate finance and business consulting at CapitalCorp Partners (now CapitalCorp Ventures). He has advised many tech-related companies, spanning from breakthroughs in solar energy and photonics, to a multimedia design and graphics education company, providing capital raising and strategic M&A advisory.

 

Previously he worked as a commercial banker at United Overseas Bank, Singapore, where he managed over 70 corporate accounts in the petrochemical, pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry, gaining an understanding of various types of corporate credit and financing.

 

Leonard holds an MBA from Imperial College London that specialises in Entrepreneurship, and Second Class (Upper) honours in LLB from University of London and Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Business School, NTU Singapore.
